末期ベーチェット病の1症例

A case of Behçet's disease in its terminal stage

　発症より35年以上観察した末期のベーチェット病患者を経験した。症例は19歳の時に右虹彩毛様体炎で発症し，完全型ベーチェット病として約3年間入院加療され，以後は著明な再発は認められなかった。現在，視力は右：手動弁，左：0.01。視野，ERG，暗順応検査等は著明に障害されていたが，色覚は比較的保たれていた。本症例のように重篤な発作が消失し，落ち着いていると思われる例でも長期的にみると徐々に網脈絡膜の荒廃がすすんでおり，ベーチェット病の長期にわたる経過観察の必要性を示唆していると考えられた。

A 58-year-old male had been diagnosed as com-plete type of Behçet's disease at the age of 19 years. There has been reportedly no acute episode of iridocyclitis since 22 years of age. His visual acuity was hand movement in the right and 0.01 in the left. Gradual and steady loss of visual function seemed to gave persisted in the intervening years. This case seemed to illustrate that the retina and the uvea may undergo continuous deterioration even in the absence of acute eye symptoms of Behcet's disease.
