Abstract Purpose:To report the outcome of ischemic changes in central retinal vein occlusion(CRVO)using with fluorescein angiography(FA)and laser speckle flowgraphy(LSFG).

Case and Method:This retrospective study was made on 11 eyes of 11 patients with nonperfusion area(NPA)due to CRVO. They were 6 males and 5 females aged 62.8±10.4 years in average. We measured the area of NPA of FA and mean blur rate(MBR)on optic nerve head(ONH)using with LSFG. From the initial visit to the final visit, correlation between the changing amount of NPA and the changing rate of MBR on ONH were evaluated.

Results:NPA increased average 7.4±10.4 disc area(DA)at the initial visit to 27.8±16.9 DA at the final visit(p<0.01). MBR on ONH decreased to 73.7±14.8% in average at the final visit compared with that of the initial visit. There was a significant negative correlation between change amount of NPA and changing rate of MBR on ONH(r=−0.47 p<0.05).

Conclusion:MBR on ONH represented the reduction of whole retinal blood flow which resulted in progression of NPA. It might be possible to evaluate the ischemic change of NPA in CRVO using with LSFG.
