Abstract Purpose: To present a review of tumors in the lacrimal fossa diagnosed at Matsuyama Red Cross Hospital.

Cases and Method: This study was made on 68 cases of lacrimal gland tumor in the past 139 months. All the cases had been pathologically diagnosed. Cases were evaluated regarding age, sex, method of treatment, and therapeutic outcome.

Findings: There were 45 cases of benign tumor(66%)and 23 cases of malignant tumor(34%). There were 16 males and 29 females diagnosed with benign tumor. There were 13 males and 10 females diagnosed with malignant tumor. Among epithelial tumors, pleomorphic adenoma was the most frequent, followed by dacryops and carcinomas. Among lymphoproliferative tumors, malignant lymphoma was the most frequent, followed by non-IgG4-related diseases and IgG4-related diseases.

Conclusion: One-third of malignancy in the lacrimal fossa comprised malignant tumors. Due attention is advocated to this feature when dealing with tumors of lacrimal gland area regarding diagnosis and treatment.
