Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of Valsalva retinopathy treated with intravitreal sulfur hexafluoride(SF6)gas injection. Case:A 45-year-old female presented with photopsia and floater in her left eye after karaoke singing. Findings:Corrected visual acuity was 0.07 in the left eye and 1.5 in the right eye. The left eye showed vitreous hemorrhage and preretinal hemorrhage of 4-5 disc diameter with niveau. Intravitreal pure SF6 gas injection was performed. The mass of hemorrhage diffused and vanished 1 week later. The remaining hemorrhage under the internal limiting membrane disappeared 10 weeks later. Corrected visual acuity improved to 1.2. Conclusion:Intravitreal SF6 gas injection was effective on Valsalva retinopathy with vitreous hemorrhage, and Karaoke singing was a possible cause of Valsalva retinopathy.
