Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of cataract surgery with insertion of astigmatic intraocular lens using a toric marker produced by a 3D printer. Cases and Method:This study was made on 11 eyes of 8 patients who received cataract surgery with insertion of astigmatic intraocular lens. A ring-shaped axis marker, produced by a 3D printer, was used to indicate the astigmatic axis during surgery. The outcome was compared with the supposed one using Surgical GuidanceTM. Results:Deviation of astigmatic axis averaged 5.73±3.82 degrees one week after surgery. It averaged 8.36±5.87 degrees when Surgical GuidanceTM was used. There was no significant difference between the two values. Conclusion:Cataract surgery using a toric marker produced by a 3D printer showed same accuracy as when Surgical GuidanceTM was used.
