乱視検査法の検討—1：クロスシリンダ法と乱視表による検査

Studies on Testing Methods for Astigmatism: I. Line Chart Method vs. Cross Cylinder Method

I．緒言

　生体眼の正確な計測は一般に困難を伴う。乱視検査もその例に洩れず，眼鏡検定にさいし，乱視表を見させ線の濃淡を中和させる円柱レンズを見いだしても，そのレンズでは充分な矯正視力が得られず円柱レンズを若干補正することによつて良好な視力となることが時折経験される。乱視の検査はとかく煩雑で単純な理論のみでは律せられない要素が測定精度に影響すると思えるのだが，乱視検査の諸法に関して今日までに充分な評価がなされているとは思えない。今回私共は上記の乱視表による検査と共に，乱視の自覚的検査法として知られるクロスシリンダ法を同一眼に実施した結果を比較し，知見を得た。

The astigmatic errors determined by the line chart test and the cross cylinder test werecompared for 115 eyes, and the following re-sults were obtained.

The amount and the axis of the astigmatism measured by the both methods coincided in only 23 eyes (20.0%), while the visual acuity with the correction determined by the both metheds coincided in 88 eyes (76.5%), The reason why the discrepancy happened was discussed.
