シリコン・オイル注入眼の合併症とその対策

Complications of intravitreal silicone oil and their management

　当科において，シリコン・オイル（以下S．O．と略記）を硝子体手術に併用するようになり約6年半が経過しているが，S．O．は，長期間眼内に入れたままにしておくと，白内障等の種々の合併症をきたしてくる．今回は，1981年3月より1986年2月までの5年間に，硝子体手術にS．O．を併用した581眼につき検討を加え，S．O．の抜去が遅れた為に何らかの合併症をきたし，その後にS．O．を抜去した78眼につき，その合併症の種類，発現時期，それに対する対応につき報告する．

cone oil injection during a 5-year period ending February 1986. In 78 eyes in the series, the silicone oil remained in the vitreous for 3 months or more for various reasons. Later complications necessitat-ed removal of silicone oil in all the 78 eyes.

Major late complications included keratopathy, glau-coma, migration of emulsified silicone oil particles in the anterior chamber, cataract and reprolifera-tions of epiretinal membrane.
