  • Look Inside

A 11-year-old boy presented with blurred vision in the right eye since 2 days before. We found, in both eyes, occluded retinal veins, total nonperfusion in the periphery, and neovascularization from thedisc. We diagnosed the case as Eales' disease and started argon laser photocoagulation over the nonperfused retinal area. Hematological examina-tion showed an increased level of fibrinopeptide Bβ15-42. This finding seemed to suggest that a tendency to thrombosis was related with the path-ogenesis of Eales' disease.
