螢光眼底血管造影により,黄斑部網膜下(症例1)および網膜色素上皮下(症例2)の脈絡膜新生血管と同時に,広範な脈絡膜の充盈遅延を認めた2例と地図状脈絡膜炎の1例では,螢光眼底血管造影により,病巣内で網膜色素上皮組織染の部に一致し,網膜色素上皮下の脈絡膜新生血管を認めた.
以上の観察から,脈絡膜循環障害が脈絡膜新生血管の発生の一因子であること,しかも脈絡膜の循環障害の程度が脈絡膜新生血管の発生に重要な役割を演ずる可能性が強く示唆された.
Two females with unilateral senile maculardegeneration manifested an extensive area of chor-oidal filling delay around subretinal or subpigment epithelial neovascularization in the macula. Another female, 48 years in age, showed geographic choroiditis with filling defect in the choroid. Fluor-escein angiography in this patient showed late stain-ing in the retinal pigment epithelium in a focal areaisolated from the geographic lesions. Subpigment epithelial neovascularization later developed from this area of late staining.
These observations suggest that the choroidal ischemia may be a factor in the development of choroidal neovascularization. The severity of chor-oidal ischemia would be another contributory fac-tor.
