三叉神経節ブロック後に生じた角膜潰瘍の1症例

Persistent corneal ulcer following gasserian ganglion blockage

　三叉神経痛治療目的で，純アルコールによる三叉神経節ブロック後より発症した角膜上皮障害の1例につき報告した．症例は62歳男性で，角膜潰瘍および前房蓄膿にまで至り，種々の薬物治療に対し難治性であった．

　三叉神経節ブロックを行うにあたって十分な観察が必要であると思われた．

A 64-year-old male had been suffering from right trigeminal neuralgia for the past 2 years. He was treated by blockage of the right Gasserian ganglion with 0.2ml of pure alcohol. Corneal erosion in the right eye developed 4 days later. The erosion resist-ed conventional treatments and resulted in corneal ulcer and hypopyon 6 weeks later.

The present findings point to the probable im-portant role in maintaining corneal integrity. Tri-geminal nevre block should be performed with due care under participation of ophthalmologist.
