　乳幼児スクリーニング用に開発したフォトレチノスコープを紹介した。このカメラで瞳孔を観察すると誰でも簡単に屈折異常を判別できる。乳幼児眼科検診の診断・記録に有用と思われる。保健所の3歳児スクリーニングの際に視力検査を行う事は，なかなか困難である事を考えると，フォトレチノスコープを用いて，保健婦が中心となり，1歳6カ月児に簡単な検影法のみでスクリーニングをしてしまう方が能率的かもしれない。今後検討していきたい。

Photoretinoscope has been used in the screening of children at age one year and a half and proved to be useful for testing and documentation of the state of refraction.

This instrument consists of a standard reflex camera with 135mm telescopic lens and a streak retinoscope attached to the lens front. The lower half of the lens is covered with blue filter in order to create a shadow in the pupil. In myopia, the light reflex from the upper part of the fundus is cut by the filter and the pupil appears dark in the upper part.
