　緑内障手術（Trabeculo-trephine）にCO₂レーザーを応用し，強膜弁および濾過孔の作成，虹彩切除に使用した。

（1）装置は最低出力が100mWまで可変で，しかも安定した操作が可能な低出力CO₂レーザーを使用した。

（2）症例は眼圧コントロールが不良の18例20眼で，主に出血性緑内障に応用し，75％に良好な眼圧のコントロールを得た。しかし無効例の多くに濾過孔の虹彩嵌頓が見られた。

（3）レーザー照射時の出血はなく，血管の凝固および止血効果は強力で，安全かつ確実な手術操作が可能であった。

We developed a low-power CO₂ laser system to be used for glauocma surgery. In this system, the laser output can be controlled between the 100mW-10W range.

We used this system for lamellar scleral resection,filtering procedure and iridectomy during surgery.

Ttabeculectomy was performed in 20 eyes includ-ing neovascular glaucoma. Postoperative control of the intraocular pressure below 20mmHg was attained in 75% of the treated eyes. Surgery with this laser system could be performed with safety and reliability, and was free of complications as hemor-rhages or injury to the lens or the ciliary body.
