新しい抗ヘルペス剤Acyclovir®による治療成績—特にIDU耐性，実質性角膜炎に対する有効性について

Treatment of IDU resistant and/or parenchymatous herpetic keratitis by topical Acyclovir®

　樹枝状角膜潰瘍あるいは星状角膜潰瘍の8眼（6例）と実質病変を伴うヘルペス性角膜炎7眼（6例），計15眼に対してAcyclovir®〔9—（2—hydroxyethoxymethyl）　guanine〕による治療を試み良好な結果を得た。樹枝状あるいは星状角膜潰瘍の患者は全例が治癒し，潰瘍が消失するまでの平均日数はわずか2,8日であった。IDU耐性と考えられる樹枝状角膜潰瘍の2眼に対してもAcyclovir®は著効を示した。実質性角膜炎を伴う7眼に対するAcyclovir®の効果も比較的良好で5眼において10日以内に潰瘍が消失し，角膜炎の軽快が認められた。

We treated 15 eyes with herpetic corneal lesion by topical 3% acyclovir ointment 5 times daily. Dendritic corneal ulcer was present in 8 and paren-chymatous keratitis in 7 eyes.

The dendritic ulcer disappeared promptly in all cases after a mean treatment session of 2.8 days. These included 2 cases which did not respond to prior topical IDU therapy. Five out of 7 cases with parenchymatous keratitis healed within 10 days after a combined therapy of acyclovir and topical or systemic corticosteroid.
