老人性眼瞼下垂の手術

Surgery for senile blepharoptosis

　老人性眼瞼下垂32例，45眼に対し眼瞼挙筋短縮法およびぬいあげ法を行って好結果を得た。老人性眼瞼下垂は，通常の眼瞼下垂手術の定量法では過矯正になりやすく，眼瞼下垂の軽度のものには挙筋ぬいあげ法，高度のものでも6〜8mmの挙筋短縮法で十分な効果を得ることができる。

Surgery for senile blepharoptosis was pertot med in 45 eyes (32 cases) by either resection or tucking of the levator muscle. In general, the levator re-tained good function in senile bleparoptosis, in-cluding severe ones. Because of this feature, post-operative overcorrection was prone to occur with the use of conventional quantitation. In our present series, favorable result was obtained by tucking the levator for mild ptosis and by resecting the levator by 6 to 8 mm for moderate and severe ptosis.
