　両眼の視力低下と界側半盲を主症状としたprimary empty sella syndromeの3症例について報告した。

　Empty sellaによってひきおこされた視神経・視交叉の解剖学的偏位を正常化し，視障害を改善させるために行った経蝶形骨洞法によるトルコ鞍内筋肉片充填術により，3症例すべてに視力・視野の改善が得られた。

　Primary empty sella syndromeに伴った両鼻側半盲の発生機転について考察を行った。

Three cases of the primary empty sella syndrome accompanied with bilateral hemianopsia were reported.

All of the 3 cases were surgically treated via the transsphenoidal approach. In order to recover the visual function, correction by muscle packing into the sella turcica via the transsphenoidal approach proved safe and effective. The mechanisms of the bilateral nasal hemianopsia due to the primary empty sella were discussed.
