3歳児健康診査における眼位スクリーニング

Strabismus screening in the health check of three-year-old children

　我々は愛知県知多保健所で行われる3歳児健康診査の項目に眼位検査を加え，眼位スクリーニングを行い，異常が疑われるものに対し愛知県総合保健センターで精密検査を行っている。

　1974年度から1979年度までの6年間の3歳児健診受診者は25,257人で，全員に対し眼位スクリーニングを実施した。そのうち異常が疑われた者は613人（2.43％）であった。異常疑者のうち既に治療中の者を除いたものを要精検者とした。精密検査を受けた者489人（受診率95.0％）のうち眼位異常者は280人で，そのうち内斜視68人，外斜視は174人，その他の斜視が38人であった。今回の眼位スクリーニングより斜視の頻度を算出するとおよそ1.30％になった。

We conducted a screening procedure for stra-bismus as a part of health check program in 3-year-old children during a 6-year period ending March 1980. Cover-uncover test, Hirschberg's method and lateral version examination were used. Out of a total of 25,257 children examined during the period, 631 children (2.43%) were detected as suspect for strabismus or other ocular abnormal-ities.
