  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We observed three cases who developed acquired color sense abnormality following cerebral lesions. Vascular accident was responsible for 2 cases and blunt head trauma for the other. As interesting features for these cases, all the subjects noted the development of achromatopsia. The color sense abnormality was detectable by pseudoisochormatic tables and was classified as protanopsia. The grade of achromatopsia was variable according to the state of the causative cerebral lesion. Visual acuity was well retained in spite of agnosia. Left homonymous hemianopsia was present in 2 of the three cases.
