網膜中心動脈閉塞症を合併した前頭洞膿嚢腫の1例

A case of frontal sinus pyocele associated with central retinal artery occlusion

　網膜中心動脈閉塞症を合併して失明した前頭洞膿瘤の症例を報告し，動脈閉塞の発生機序について考察を行った。

An unusual case of pyocele in the frontal sinus associated with central retinal artery obstruction is reported. The subject was a 29-year-old man complaining of severe pain in the right eyeball and headache for a few days.

Ophthalmologic examinations revealed exoph-thalmos, high ocular tension and central retinal artery obstruction in the right eye. Otorhinologi-cally, ipsilateral frontal sinuitis was detected.

A few days after general treatment, the frontal sinus lesion was operated upon by Kilian's method. The ophthalmologic symptoms remarkably im-proved immediately after surgery but the lost sight was never regained.
