  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Two adult males, 48 and 50 years of age, mani-fested clinical features of Chandler's syndrome. Only the left eye was involved in either case. These cases were characterized by slight atrophy of the iris, peripheral anterior synechias, moderate eleva-tion of intraocular pressure and corneal edema. Peculiarly, specular microscopy revealed the endo-thelial cells to be enlarged in size in both instances. The family history was inconspicuous.

The therapeutic efforts were mainly directed to alleviate the corneal edema by means of miotics, hyperosmotic agents, and acetazolamide among others.
