緒言

　小児ブドウ膜炎として，慢性に経過する前房硝子体混濁，および眼底に限局性病巣を有し，虹彩癒着を来たす等の症例には，時に遭遇するが，初診時，主病変として網膜の動静脈が，あたかも樹氷を思わせる高度の白鞘化を呈し，経過と共に血管病変，網脈絡膜病変が消腿した症例を経験し，2年間の経過を観察した。最近10年間に，小児ブドウ膜炎は増加したというが，報告^1〜9）は散見されるにすぎない。本症例は，樹氷状血管炎（fro—sted-branch angiitis）を主病変とするきわめて興味ある小児特有なブドウ膜炎の一病態を示し，Schepens,Brockhurst^1），浦山^12）による周辺性ブドウ膜炎についての詳細な記載はあるが，稀有な病像である。

A boy of 6 years of age developed sudden visual impairment in both eyes apparently ca-used by acute uveitis. Chief fundus findings consisted of severe white sheathing formation of all the retinal vessels, presenting an appea-rance similar to frosted branches of a tree. The color of the blood column from retinal arteries and veins was concealed by the soft white she-athing over the vessels, particularly in the pe-ripheral fundus. The white sheathing formation along the vessels gradually faded away along with the improvement of the disease. Fluore-scein angiographically, the caliber of the vessels was found to be irregular.
