  • Look Inside

We compared the characteristic features of pupil-lary reactions in 22 cases with Adie's syndrome and in 8 cases with tonic pupil accompanied by systemic disorders. All but one case with Adie's syndrome showed unilateral involvement, while 7 out of 8 cases with systemic disorders were bilaterally invol-ved. In the latter group, the underlying systemic lesions were variable and included varicella, viral encephalitis, segmental hypohidrosis, syringomyelia, pandysautonomia and peripheral neuropathies. The pupillary movement was recorded by means of pupillography.
