  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The number of cases of asthenopia is increasing along with an increase in the incedence of near works. There have been various reports and clas-sifications of the causes of asthenopia, but there are many cases in which the causes are inexplainable from the results of conventional examinations. For the analysis of pupillary near reflex, normal subjects (controls) and patients with asthenopia (causes unknown) were chosen. A rotary prism was set to a conventional iriscorder with convergence stimula-tion (HTV. C-301). Accommodation was fixed, and fusional convergence and divergence were pro-duced.
