ナフタリン白内障の走査電子顕微鏡による初期像の研究

Scanning electron microscopic studies of incipient naphthalene cataract in rabbits

緒　言

　白内障の成因を解明する補助手段として，動物を川いての実験的白内障の研究は数多くなされてきた。ナフタリンを投与された動物に白内障が発生することは，すでによく知られ，ナフタリン自内障といわれ，紅織学的に多くの報告が^1〜7）あるが，主に光学顕微鏡あるいは透過型電子顕微鏡（以下透過電顕と略す）による観察である。今回，著者は，ナフタリン白内障家兎の水晶体線維の病理学的変化，特に，その皮質水品体線維の初期像を走査型電子顕微鏡（以下走査電顕と略す）を用いて観察したので報告する。

Scannning electron microscopic studies were made on the early degenerative changes of lens fibers in experimental cataract in rabbits. A single dose of naphthalene (1g/kg) was force-fed by stomach tutbe. A total of 30 rabbits, weighing 2 to 3 kg each, were used in the study.

Four hours after naphthalene feeding, vacuoles of various shapes were formed in the inter- and in-trafibrous lens spaces in the equatorial and posteriorsubcapsular regions. The superficial cortical lens fibers underwent slight deterioration.
