Recording the state of cataract in clear and sharp photographs is helpful in knowing its course. Photographs of cataract were taken with Kodak Ektachrome Infrared Film in order to compare them with those taken with the usual color film (Fujichrome R100). Apparatus used were Carl Zeiss Jena photoslit-lamp and Nikon wideangle retinal camera with magnifying attach-ments. The former was utilized for the purpose of diffuse illumination, transillumination and slit photography, and the latter for transillumination photography.
