カラコルム山地より下山の途中に発症したと思われるブドウ膜炎の1例

Occurrence of acute uveitis during the descent from Karakorum mountains

緒　言

　高山病は1590年d'Acosta^1）によりはじめて記載されてから，多方面にわたる研究がなされているが，その本質はいまだ不明である。高山病の眼症状に関しても，1839年Tschudi^2）により報告されてから種々の報告があるが，眼底出血以外はあまり報告されていない。

　今回著者らはカラコルム山地に登山し，その下山中に発症したと思われる興味あるブドウ膜炎の1例に遭遇し，その臨床経過を観察する機会を得たので，ここに報告する。

A hitherto healthy 27-year-old male developed acute granulomatous uveitis during the descent from Karakorum mountain district. The uveitis occurred on the 31st day of climbing and at an altitude of 4500 meters. A recurrent high fever was present during the 4 weeks before appearance of ocular symptoms. The patient was seen by us on the 33rd day of the disease. Unusually massive and network-like keratic precipitates were present in both eyes. The anterior uveitis promptly responded to treatment, while the posterior uveitis persisted longer before ultimate cure set in over 4 months later.
