緒　言

　Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis （若年性リウマチ様関節炎，以下JRAと略す）は，小児ブドウ膜炎における最も頻度の多い原因の一つであり，その視力の予後は不良といわれ，病因も不明のままである。JRAの約10％に慢性虹彩毛様体炎が合併するといわれているが，その眼合併症の出現を予告できる有効な検査もみつかつていない。

　著者らは今回，University of California, SanFranciscoのUveitis Survey Clinicにおいてみられた，58例のJRAに合併した慢性虹彩毛様体炎について，その臨床所見および検査所見の検討を行なつたので報告する。

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) is one of the most common causes of iridocyclitis in children in the U.S.A., and the visual prognosis is poor. The etiology of this disease is un-known, and there are no useful laboratory tests predicting the ocular manifestations of JRA. It is the purpose of this report to analyze 58 cases of chronic iridocyclitis associated with JRA seen in the Uveitis Survey Clinic of the University of California, San Franciso, both 1) clinically,and 2) by laboratory investigations, such as HLA typing and ANA test.
