蜘蛛及び蜘蛛の巣毒による眼障害—眼瞼，球結膜浮腫及び球結膜下出血

Eye disease by Spiderbody-or net-Toxin:(Swellung of Eyelid and Chemosis of Bulboconjunctiva and hyposphagma)

　今迄知られている蜘蛛の毒腺よりの分泌毒液の他に，蜘蛛の体液や蜘蛛の巣にも毒がある事を発見した。若し蜘蛛の体液や蜘蛛の巣の粘絲が，直接眼組織に触れる時は，被害眼の眼瞼腫脹，球結膜の高度の浮腫，或は球結膜下出血を来す。而も此等の被害例は，蜘蛛毒の強い夏から初秋の間に相当多い事を知つた。殊に蜘蛛の巣に引つ掛かつて2〜3日後に生ずる球結膜下出血例が一番多い。毒成分は今迄知られている向神経毒，溶血毒，蛋白溶解毒等の多蛋白体酵素様毒の他に，発癌物質として知られる滝沢癌のキノン系物質が主であるが，此他にチロデン，ニンヒドリン，アミノ酸，コリンエステラーゼを含有し，此他にセロトニンも含まれる公算がある。但しヒスタミンは含有しない。

　治療には対症的にコーチゾン系を用いたが，特効的ではない。

The toxic secretion of the spider is widely known in the world, but the author disco-vered the toxic effects of the spider body and also the spider-net.

The author observed that, when the spider body or net had been in directly contact with an eye, then the eye became swollen and the chemosis and the hyposphagma were also appeared.

The author knew that these injuries were considerably frequent. About the toxic effects of the spider net, the author especially emphasizes, because the fact has not known even among zoologists.
