メラニンの研究

Studies on Melanin-like substances

　諸動物の毛髪は種属又は種類によつて，夫々特有の色素を持つて居るが，その多くはメラニン系色素と言われている。水野氏^1）はさきに毛髪及び馬鈴薯からインドール系の物質を分離し，夫々Melanochrom b及びaと仮称した。私は更に追求する目的で，氏とは溶媒を異にした抽出法で，別の新しい2つの螢光性の物質を分離した。此等の螢光性物質について，化学反応・紫外線吸収スペクトル・赤外線吸収スペクトル等で精査し，1つは直鎖状高級飽和脂肪酸のメチルエステル，他はベンゾール核を有しない酸アミド系の物質である事が判明した。茲で水野氏^1），吉川氏^2），Arman氏^3）等の方法に準じ，DOPA, Tyrosine, Tyro-sine＋Vitamin C及びAdrenalinからメラニン様黒色色素の光合成を試み，次いで此等光合成色素と螢光性物質との関係を知る為に，単独或は混合して，家兎の前房或は背部皮下に注入して，天然メラニンを注入した場合と臨床的並びに組織学的に比較検討したので報告する。

New fluorescent substances were extracted from the hair and the uvea of man, dog and cattle and tentatively named MC-Ⅰ and Ⅱ. Physical and chemical tests revealed that MC-Ⅰ was a methyl ester of a straight-chain high-ranking saturated fatty acid and MC-Ⅱ was a substance with acid-amide radical without benzol ring. MC-Ⅰ and Ⅱ showed only a mild anti-bacterial effect against T.gypseum. Those substances remained in the anterior cham-ber of rabbit for more than one month when injected.
