A man of 38 years, when working at a saw mill, had his right bulb and orbit stabbed with a piece of timber of 150cm in length and 1×2cm2 in sectional width, penetrating st-raight 7.5cm deep through the palpebral fissure without injuring the lids.

X-ray photograph showed a partial defect in the lower wall of the Fissura orbitalis superior.

Enucleatio bulbi and removal of the intraorbital foreign bodies were performed.

Afrer 8 months the patient complained of fogginess and fatigued vision. By examination were finded medium disturbance of vision and concentric contraction of the visual field of the left eye.
