角膜コンタクトレンズの研究（その4）—幼児の両眼無水晶体眼におけるスフエリコンレンズ無制限連続装用について

A study on the corneal contact lens (Ⅳ):Application of sphercon lenses to the aphakic eyes of a infant

緒言

　コンタクトレンズを幼少年に使用する場合は，コンタクトレンズがmedical indicationとして要求されるのであるから医学的意義が大である。本邦最年少の無水晶体眼に対する応用例としては，三村，吉野氏^1）が9歳の男子の例を報告して居られる。これは外傷性白内障の手術後にコンタクトレンズを装用せしめたのであつて好成績を得たと云う。著者は先般6歳の白子眼にスモークグリーン着色スフエリコンレンズを装用せしめ，羞明を除き容貌を一新する事に成功した。患者は喜んで終日連続装用を行つて居る^2）。この度，著者は8カ月の幼児の無水晶体眼にスフエリコンレンズを装着せしめる事に成功したのでここに報告する次第である。

Plus sphercon lenses are fitted to aphakic eyes of a male infant of eight months old, after his congenital cataract have been removed by operative measures. The base curves of the lenses are determined by use of the trial lenses. The refractive power of them is prescribed a little stronger than the patients measured refractive condition, as he can see nearer. The lenses have been used continuously day and night without interruption for ten months ; and hardly any evidence of disturbance of the anterior segment of the eye is observed so far.
