Two cases of epithelial downgrowth following cataract extraction are presented. The first case is that of a 34 years old woman who had an extracapsular cataract extraction from the left eye with a good visual result. Nine months later she had an attack of congestive glaucomain her operated eye. On slit lamp examination a thin translucent membrane with a fine gray line at its lower border was noted extending down 3mm on the posterior surface of the cornea One month after first being seen a limbal fistula developed at 11 o'clock and caused abnormal low ocular tention.
