Orbitonometryに関する研究—第2報 甲状腺疾患，殊にBasedow氏病について

Clinical studies on orbitonometry:The 2nd. report. clinical orbitonometry in Graves' disease.

緒言

　著者は前報に於て，Copper氏等に做い試作したOrbitonometerに就て紹介し，正常人に就ての測定結果を報告したが，今回は甲状腺疾患殊にBasedow氏病に就て研究を行つた。

　Basedow氏病に関するOrbitonometryの研究は，欧米にては，Copper，Means，Kearns，Grossman，Jaeger等の報告がみられるが，本邦に於ては未だ其の報告をみない。此度はBase-dow氏病の診断及び治療効果の判定に，Orbitonometryが如何に役立つかを検討してみることとした。

The author performed the orbitonometry on 200 eyes in 100 cases of Graves disease and obtained the following results.

1. There was no difference on orbitonometry between the patients of graves disease wi-thout exophthalmos and the normal person.

2. There was a tendency, on the patients of graves disease with exophthalmos, of incre-ase of the orbital tension in accordance with the degree of exophthalmos.
