シエツツ氏眼圧計の検定について

緒言

　眼圧の数量的計測は，臨床上眼圧計によるにしくはない。その中でも万国共通と云われるものは先ずシエツツ氏眼圧計と云い得よう。従つて，このものゝ規格の統一がなくては，眼圧の正常，異常の境界線上の問題は，宜敷く論議し得ざるものとなる。又河本氏等が報告されている如く，甲の眼圧計では眼圧は低く又乙の眼圧計では高く出ると云う様では診断並びに治療の上に問題が生じる。この様な眼圧計に関する幾多の問題が初期緑内障に対する研究の進歩と共にさけばれ，眼圧計規格統一に迄前進してきた。独乙に於いてはシエツツ氏自身により検定が行われ，其の後Arnold氏等により受継がれてきたが，未だ眼圧計検定機関なるものはない様である。Americaに於いてはSchenberg,Posner氏等により創められ，Friedenwald,Harrington,Kronfeld氏等によりおし進められ，1942年にはThe Committee onstandardization of Tonometers of the Ame-rican Academy of Ophthalmology and Otol-aryngologyが創立せられ，現在迄此所の規格が洋の東西を問わず用いられてきた。我国に於いてもかつて宮下氏により検定が行われていた様であるが，其の後は製造者の自由にまかされて居た。

The author produced an implement by way of experiment for standardization of Schioe-tz's tonometer, and the following results were found.

Japanese manufactured tonometers are now getting approach to the standardization of the Comittee on Standardization of Tonometers of the American Academy of Ophthalmo-logy and Otolaryngology.
