I.緒言
従来の圧入眼圧計や圧平眼圧計によつて,眼圧を測定する際に現れる,角膜の粘弾性に基づく誤差を最小にするには如何にすべきかを考えた。そこで圧入や圧平の概念に捉われず,眼球に与える変形を出来るだけ微小ならしめようとした。かくして角膜の粘弾性による誤差が殆んどない眼圧計が誕生した。これを微変眼圧計と名づける。
Concerning the measured value of intraoc-ular prssure with existent impression tonom-eters and applanation tonometers it is inevitable that certain error intermingles thereto because of individuall difference in viscous elasticity of cornea. In order to minimize this error, deformity of the eyeball should be made as small as possible at the time of measurement. The microtrans-figuration tonomer (m-t-f tonometer) has been devised to fulfill the purpose. Lower surfaces of both plunger and foot plate of this tonometer are concave, their radius of curvature being slightly larger than that of cornea.
