札幌，岩見沢，美唄各市及び札幌，旭川市郊外村落の中小学校学童に対するAchromycin油性懸濁液に依るトラコーマ集団治療成績

Mass Treatment of Trachoma in Hokkaido

　先に我々の教室では之等各市及び村落の中小学校生徒児童につきトラコーマ（Tr．）の集団検診を行い，其検診成績を夫々発表した。

　今回は此時選出されたTr．患者に対するAch-romycin油性懸濁液（Achr．O．）に依る集団治療成績を報告する。現在迄のところAchr．O．がTr．の諸症状を軽減或は消失せしめ，集団治療に対し特に好都合であり，且つ中等度以上のTr．に対して手術を併用する事が，治療効果を非常に促進せしめる事等を再確認した。

From autumn in 1956 to Spring in 1957 the authors examined the eyes of 26,612 pupils of of primary and middle schools in the Cities of Sapporo, Iwamizawa, Bibai and Asahigawa in Hokkaido, and found 446 patients of trachoma among them, exclusive of the cases of pseudotrachoma. All the patients were treated with Achromycin Oil Suspension (Lederle); however, patients who were observed the course of the disease under this treatment for four months over were only 252 patients among 446 ones.
