眼球銅症の長期観察例

A case of chalcosis bulbi

　眼球内に異物が入つた場合，最も激しい反応を示し，早晩失明の転帰をとるものは，銅あるいはその合金であることは，臨牀的にも実験的にも知られている^1）−5）。

　これが異物として長期間眼内にとどまり，しかも割合良好なる視力を保つた例は極めて珍らしい。

The patient, man, aged 16 years was seen first on September 18, 1947. He had a visual disturbance of the right eye since an explosion of a percussion cap in 1941.

At this time, vision was hand movements in the right eye and 0.2 in the left eye. The right lens showed a penetrating iujury with traumatic cataract and fundus was not visible. The anterior surface of the left lens showed a brownish opacity, so-called sun-flower cataract, with oblique illumination.
