幸運な眼球銅症の1例

A case of fortunate chalcosis

　銅片が眼球内に竄入した際には，烈しい無菌的化膿性炎症を起して眼球癆に陥るか，或は徐々に眼球銅症を起して視力が次第に低下する事が多いとは周知の通りであつて，銅片が眼内に長時存在し而もかなりの視力を保ち得た例は，僅かに出羽氏，松永氏の2症例に過ぎない。

　私共は15年前，右眼内に銅片が入り其後殆んど無害に経過したが，最近眼球銅症を起したので来院し銅片を摘出して良好な視力を保持し得た症例に遭遇したので蕪に報告する。

The man was forty-three years old, had had a scrap of copper in front of iris in his right eye for fifteen years. Though his eye had presented chalcosis, had kept hopeful visual acuity. Then the scrap was excised perfectly by operation, he got rectificational visual acuity I.O.

The scrap was 10.3mg by chemical examination I was convinced that it was copper.

Anything unusual was hardly noticed in his visual field, dark adaptation and his whole body. Thus progressing favorably, I think, was by reason of the copper was small and was in front of iris.
