熔接工の眼検診成績

Ophthalmic Examination of Wookers exposed to Harmful Light

　最近工場に於ける有害放射線の障碍が注目され，労働者の要請もあつて，各地で調査が行われている。私共は労働省の調査とは別個に某熔接工場の依頼により，熔接工の眼機能を検診する機会を得た。此種の調査は，周到な注意と，長期間に亘る観察によつて成果を得るものであるのは勿論であるが，調査方法の差異によつて成績に相違を来し，過つた結果を得る危険も存在すると考えられるので，今後の調査の参考にもなれば幸と思い，唯一回の調査成績のみであるが，発表する次第である。

The results of the ophthalmic examinations of welders, especially about the influence of ultraviolet light on their eyes were as follows:

1) Electric ophthalmitis, diffuse superficial keratitis and axial optic neuritis were found respectively in the proportion of 3.1%, 12.4% and 3.3% of all examined.

2) No narrowness of periphery field of vision was recognized.

3) Accommodation power decreased in ones of 20~30 years old.

4) No acquired abnormality of color vision was fonud.
