トラコーマの臨床的診断

Clinical diagnosis of trachoma.

I．緒言

　トラコーマの集団検診，集団治療及び予防撲滅対策は，今日世界至るところで活溌に実施されている様子であるが，之が正しい運営は，本病の臨床的診断にその基礎があることは言うまでもない。従つて之を疫学的面から検討する時は，診断に関する疑点の解明が最も緊急な研究課題である。

　本文にまとめた研究は，愛知県下各地区において長期間にわたつて集団検診或は治療を施し，それ等の綜合観察成績によつて特に疫学的面からの臨床的診断の基準を，確立しようと言う目的のもとに計画されたものである。その研究成績については，既に一部は本誌トラコーマ特輯号誌上に発表した。今回は特に臨床的の鑑別診断に関係深い資料のみをまとめて，上述の課題に対する検討を試みた。

In order to investigate the distribution of trachoma and its epidemiological problems in Aiehi prefecture, mass examination of tracnoma had been performed for pupils since 1946, and it is continued now. These records contain many useful epidemiological data, but now I will refer to the criteria of the diagnosis on the basis of these data. By these studies, it was proved that clinical diagnosis of trachoma could be established from the standpoint of epidemiology. Thus, trachoma was classified by the long period of records. Its application is very helpful for mass examination.
