Biomicroscopic Observation on Trachoma

1）緒言

　戦後の教室のトラコーマに関する業績を総括して述べる様にと，編輯に当られる中村，中泉両先生から御依頼をうけたので，御主旨に従つて以下述べることにする。

　我々の研究は先ず瞼結膜及び円蓋のト性病変及びパンヌスを，biomikroskrpischに多数観察することによつて，ト性の病変の本態である乳頭，濾胞，混濁，瘢痕及びパンヌスの個々の所見を細かく捉え，且，之等の個女の病変の推移を知ることに向けられた。即ち多数の例を丁寧に観察して，新しいものから陳旧なものへ，軽い変化から重い変化へと順次ならべることによつて，極めて慢性的な経過をとるトの病変の本態を詳しく知ろうとした訳である。

The author divided the stadium of trachoma into acute and chronic stadium. Investigating microscopic and biomicroscopic feature in each stadium, the author reached the following opinion as conclusion.

Initial infection of trachoma mostly outbreaks as acute or subacute inflammation by 6 th month after the birth.After resolution of inflammation, diffuse formation of papillae on tarsal conjunctiva is very remarkable in acute inflammation, besides, formation of follicularbodies on fornices is very remarkable in subacute inflammation.
