The paleness of face and spasm of the blood vessels in eyes which appeared during or after intracarotic artery injection of some drugs (mostly in 1 minute) might be caused mainly by the change of composition of blood or Reilly's phenomenon.

However, in the over 30 yr. old 6 adults, 4 males and 2 famales, who have never had epilepticfits, the intra-carotic artery injection of Grelan (2cases), Jodnatrium, Chininum hydrochloricum and Novocain (2 cases) have caused paleness of face and contrcation of blood vessels of eyes, subsequent complete type of genuine epileptic, fits.
