　私^1）は一昨年の本学会の席上で，全身（汎）適応症候群General Adaptation Syndrome （G-A-S）から見た緑内障についての私共の考えを述べたが，その後本問題に関する知見の進歩に伴い，再び同じ題目の下に考察を行うこととした。

It is well known that primary acute congestive glaucoma is provocated by various stimuli, such as cold, trauma, physical and emotional shocks, insomnolence, nervous strain, etc., which are all stressors of Selye.
