Salmonella Typhiが検出された眼瞼膿瘍の1例

A Case of Lid Abscess Caused by Salmonella Typhi in Healthy Carrier

緒言

　眼瞼膿瘍の起炎菌としては，通常Staphyloco—ccus aureusがもつとも多く，その他Strepto—coccen,Pneumococcen,Proteus,E．coli,Ps—aeruginosaなどの報告もあるが，Salmonellaによると思われるものはこれまで報告がないようである。

　著者らは今回，再発性の眼瞼膿瘍で切開排膿によりえられた膿培養からSalmonella typhiが分離，同定された珍しい症例を経験したので，ここに簡単に報告する。

A case of lid abscess in a 58-year-old woman, healthy carrier of Salmonella typhi, was report-ed. Salmonella typhi was isolated from pus of lid abscess following incision and was found to be sensitive to CP, ABPC, TC and CBPC.

Patient was treated with combined systemic administration of Cephalexin and local applic-ation of CP ointment, and cured without any ocular complication.
