緒言
今回,われわれは単眼児の興味ある1例を得たのでその肉眼的および顕微鏡的所見について述べあわせて文献的考察を試みた。
We obtained an interesting case of cyclopian fetus, the chief characteristics being as follows :
1) The proboscis was as long as 21 mm and hung down over the rhomboid palpebral fissure, ending in a blind pouch. The nasal cavity poorly developed.
2) The optic nerves were absent.
3) Two eyes were brought into contact with each other in a single orbit in a state of fusion.
4) The cornea, the lens, the iris, the choroid and the retina were doubled. Therefore, our case fell supposedly within the 4th item in the classification which Bock had proposed with regard to the cyclopian eye.
