回転式遠隔制御視力検査機について

New Automatic Rotary Test Chart Using Polyester-Film

緒言

　本視力検査機は，視標印刷媒体としてポリエステル感光フィルム（成分：テレフタル酸ジメチルエステル・エチレングリコール）を用い，エンドレス構造にして回転させ，遠隔制御方式にした視力検査機である。また各視力値は1つの視標原型（国際規格品寸法のものを5倍に拡大）を縮少するという方法を採用している。

　このポリエステル感光フィルムは巨大な乾板とも称すべきもので，プラスチックのうち，もつとも分子配列に方向性をもつた結晶構造を呈しており，表面は乱反射しない乳光を発するが，垂直方向に優れた透光性があるため，視標印刷媒体として最適である。今回の発表では，本視力検査機が「ぼけ」の欠点が一掃され，高精度（誤差0.01％以下）であることを国産，外国産のLandolt環等の拡大写真の比較から立証し，基準試視力表として最適であることを紹介する。

A new automatic rotary test chart using polyester-film which has excellent optical cha-racteristics (good light transparency, non-light-scattering and good plasticity) is realized. The Landolt ring reprinted by light chemical reaction is taken from only one original large (×5) Landolt ring comforming to the international Landolt ring scale. This apparatus has an end-less structure and a control box for remote o-peration.

Polyester-film has a light transparency in the vertical orientation and it can be reprinted on the back side. This Landolt test chart has ex-quisite regularity with the maximum error of 0.01.
