緒言

　Marchesani症候群は1939年，Marchesaniが短躯，短指趾，球状水晶体および緑内障より成る症候群を報告して以来約200例の報告が見られる。これらの内，心臓疾患を合併した例は，心室中隔欠損を伴つた例^6），および肺動脈弁口狭窄に心房中隔欠損と右室肥大が合併した例がある^14）。筆者等は，Marchesani症候群と内臓転位を伴つた一例を経験した。更に本症を先天性結合織異常疾患であるMucopolysaccharidosisと考え病因論的検討を加えたので報告する。

This report describes a 16-year-old male with Marchesani syndrome (glaucoma, short stature and spherophakia) associated with dextrocardia. The subject was free of cardiac symptoms. Acid mucopolysaccharide (A-MPS) level in the urine was normal, while an increase in A-MPS was found in biopsied subcutaneous tissue. The differences in the symptomatology of Mar-fan, Marchesani and Hurler syndromes seemed to be related with the probable difference in the metabolism of acid mucopolysaccharides.
