眼窩骨腫と思われた過骨症のエコーグラム

Echogram in Hyperosterosis of the Orbit

緒言

　前頭骨等に発生するいわゆる眼窩骨腫は比較的稀なものとされているが，近くは1971年福田ら^1）による報告等，本邦においても何例か記載されている。また本疾患類似の過骨症は本症との鑑別が非常に困難である^2）とされているが，今回われわれは本症を疑わせる症状，すなわち患眼の視力障害，視野狭窄，複視，眼球突出，眼筋麻痺等を主訴として来院した患者に対して超音波診断装置による検査を中心に種々の検索を行なう機会を得たので報告する。

A report is presented on a 53-year-old female in whom intraorbital tumor was initially sus-pected. In ultrasonic studies of the right eye using A-scan, abnormal spike waves appeared between the sclera and the upper orbital wall, suggesting the possible presence of frontal sinus osteoma, pseudotumor of the orbit or mucocele. A surgical extirpation of the tumor was attem-pted. Pathological examination of the neoplasm led to the diagnosis of orbital hyperosteosis.
