緒言

　角膜真菌症については古くよりその報告がなされているが^1）2），近年になつてとくにその症例が増加していることは内外にひろく指摘されているところであり，これは広範な抗生物質や副腎皮質ホルモンの使用が大きく関与するものであると考えられている。

　著者らは最近Cephalosporiumによる角膜真菌症の一例を経験した。Cephalosporiumによるものの報告例は本邦においては少ないのでここにその症例について記載し，従来の報告に追加をする。

A case of Cephalosporium keratomycosis was reported. A 33-year-old man had a history of corneal ulcer secondary to non-penetrating foreign body injury. According to report from the attending ophthalmologist the cornea exhibited a dendritic staining followed by dense purulent keratitis with hypopyon and for the next two weeks he was treated with local and systemic medication that included a antibiotics and local IDU. Diagnosis of keratomycosis was made by microscopic examination of direct smear from the scraping and Cephalosporium was identified by culture.
