初発白内障の細隙灯所見に対するタチオン点眼の影響

Evaluation of Tathion Instillation for Incipient Cataract. A Biomicroscopic Followup

緒言

　近来老人白内障に対する点眼薬療法が種々行なわれているが（小口，神鳥等），特にタチオン薬の点眼療法が細隙灯所見に対してどのような影響を与えるかはほとんど記載がなく，僅かに最近の著者の第24回臨床眼科学会の特別講演，およびこれに関連する細隙灯的研究の発表（眼科誌）で触れた程度である。著者は1969年来タチオンの点眼をカタリン，ファコリン薬の点眼効果と比較して長期に亘つて観察してきているが，視力の効果に関しては従来記載を見るが，果して細隙灯的に見て如何なる効果を示すかは判定が極めて困難である。これは患者に数剤の点眼薬を投与指示した場合，家庭で果して医師の指示の通りに使用点眼しているか否かを正確に知る由のないためであつて，そのため従来その効果の判定は主として自覚的のみに墜する恐れがあつた。

　そこで今回著者は忠実に点眼を行なう患者のみについて，その初発老人白内障に対する視力的および細隙灯的の効果を比較し，のみならず他の白内障でも少数乍ら追加比較してみたのであるが，年齢は50〜90歳の間とした。

Cases of incipient cataract have been treated by topical instillation of glutathione (Tathion) 6 i. d. followed up for 6 to 12 months by means of slitlamp microscope.

The punctate senile cataract (19 eyes) reacted favorably as regards the slitlamp findings and visual acuity. On the other hand, the treatment did not seem to significantly influence the course of nuclear senile cataract (13 eyes). The clinical findings remained stationary in cuneiform cata-ract (14 eyes) excepting typical wheel-spoke opacity. In coronary cataract (2 eyes), the slit-lamp findings remained stationary throughout the observation period.
