主として角膜疾患に対するグルタチオン点眼液の使用経験

Topical Application of Glutathione Chiefly in Corneal Diseases

I．緒言

　グルタチオンは生体のすべての組織細胞に含有され，眼球においても角膜，毛様体，水晶体，網膜，視束などに多量に含まれていることが知られている。そして角膜においてはその炎症および創傷の修復，透明化に関与しているものと考えられている。

　我々は最近合成還元型グルタチオン点眼液（市販名タチオン点眼用）を使用する機会を得たのでその成績を報告する。

Ophthalmic solution of 2% glutathione was administered to 27 patients with various cor-neal affections. As standard method applica-tion one drop was instilled every two hours during the waking hours.

Definite cure or improvement was brought about in 8 out of 14 eyes with diffuse super-ficial keratitis of idiopathic nature. In 3 eyes the condition persisted in spite of treatment and in 2 eyes the disease progressed further.

Cure of corneal wound due to injury or after extraction of foreign body was facilitated through the therapy with significant diffe-rence from the control group.
